What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Intern position at Opportunities?
This is a temporary position within the Operations Team. The Operations Intern performs a range of job duties that focus on gaining growth in leading, managing, developing and coordinating retail operations, sales and service activities. The Operations Intern works in both a team and individual environment on a daily basis to further their knowledge & abilities in Operations as well as to provide a real-world experience to post-secondary students
This is a part time position with a flexible starting date at the end of the spring semester that will last through the end of summer.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Helping to manage and motivate the team to create an environment of excellence in customer service and store operations.
- Assisting with customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assisting in ensuring that operations comply with company policies and legal regulations, which might include safety protocols.
- Working with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Supporting ongoing projects by conducting research, preparing documents, and coordinating with different departments.
- Learning how to be a leader in promoting a safe workplace environment for our employees and customers.
- Help assist with creating/communicating policies, procedures, and SOPs for all retail operations.
- Assist with implementing strategies that improve sales and profits across the company.
- Helping implement vision/goals of the company to all retail associates creating unified direction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Enrolled and actively working towards a business degree or related field required.
