What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHARMACY TECH II position at Opportunities?
Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, follows approved departmental policies and procedures in the performance of all duties. Responsible for the proper operation of all equipment and the stocking of all supplies in assigned areas. Provides technical support for the pharmacist to ensure that patients receive comprehensive pharmaceutical care, appropriate to the age and severity of illness of the patient.
Education and formal training: Applicant must have a high school diploma and be certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Must be mature, self-directed and motivated; have effective communications skills; have a high degree of manual dexterity and some mechanical capabilities; must be a well-organized individual who can follow very detailed procedures on a routine basis; must be capable of accepting responsibility and maintaining a positive attitude; must be capable of accurately performing minor mathematical calculations.
