Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Home Health
Primary Service Area: Wilkes County, NC
Schedule/Hours per Week: Monday-Friday (36 hours)
Hugh Chatham Health at Home (formerly Yadkin Valley Home Health) proudly serves Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin counties in NC.
Carries out treatment, implementation and documentation of client status for home health clients under the direction of the registered physical therapist.
Education and Formal Training: Graduate of a two-year college-level program approved by the American PT Association and has achieved a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service. Licensed as a physical therapy assistant in North Carolina.
EXTENDED TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERED FOR NEW GRADUATES!
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
