What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Sup Sales Manager position at Opportunities?
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree and/or five or more years of experience in Caterpillar sales, parts, or service management is required. Proven track record in leadership and management required. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required. Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for marketing and selling the Company's Parts and Service Products. Provides leadership and support to the PSSR team and insures their ongoing development to provide our customers the best in product support which meets their needs and helps them succeed. Maintains awareness of market changes, competitive activity and effectively administers current Cat marketing plans and works with Cat to develop new plans as needed.
Promotes the sales of the Company's parts and service products.
Maintains awareness of competitive activity in the territory to effectively initiate marketing programs to combat them.
Effectively utilizes Cat's Marketing programs to achieve sales goals.
Monitors PSSR territories for changes and makes recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Monitors PSSR territories & customer lists, and compares these to actual call reports to ensure targeted sales goals.
Monitors PSSR compensation plan and makes recommended adjustments to maintain appropriate focus on key areas.
Maintains a constructive working relationship with Caterpillar and Caterpillar representatives.
Works with other departments and branches to promote teamwork and interdepartmental relations.
Actively participates and attends meetings and team projects.
Monitors local and regional wage and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive.
Looks for and makes suggestions on new and improved methods, operations, and opportunities to grow department, branch, and/or company.
