This position provides management, leadership and supervisory oversight of our Residential Treatment Programs, working with male and female youth with emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues. Managers are to provide leadership and direction in program development and promotion, maintenance and achievement of goals/compliance standards/regulatory requirements, fiscal accountability and the overall development and growth of direct and indirect reports.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of assigned staff including hiring, supervision and a high emphasis on employee development.
- Assumes and maintains responsibility for the administration and programming of a cottage(s) in our residential facility.
- Enhances department’s ability to work as a coherent and productive team, with direct reports, clinical staff, medical, and leadership team.
- Assures fiscal accountability of all assigned programs and services in accordance with program procedures.
- Provides training and coordination of all program scheduling.
- Works closely with the Mentoring Coach to support training, shadowing and development of new hires. Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is completed, updated and documented.
- Monitors and ensures that staffing and resident needs are met.
- Communicates all goals as well as program/service adaptations with clear reasoning/justification as well as departmental, team and individual roles and responsibilities.
- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates service delivery to residents.
- Provides leadership in the formulation and implementation of treatment, training, and therapeutic objectives.
- Serves on the staff team, working to create a healthy environment to bring about positive changes in the behaviors, attitudes, and values of residents.
- Reviews and addresses critical incidents including face-to-face assessments of restraints when on duty.
- Supervises and monitors assigned staff that supports day treatment programming and independent living activities.
- Maintains compliance with required licensing and COA rules and standards.
- Provides, coordinates and monitors daily programming to ensure that clinically prescribed services and the individualized treatment plan (ITP) are being followed.
- Assists with individual programming for residents in accordance to the ITP.
- Participates in staff training, supervisory and staff meetings. Complete the agency’s approved trauma informed training, including annual refreshers.
- On call by cell phone during non-work hours for crisis management with clients.
- Assumes a leadership role and acts as a team member of the agency as a whole in the interpretation and support of agency policies (including HR, PR and Communications), implementation of industry best practice standards throughout assigned programs, aiding in the development/implementation of program outcome measures to ensure quality service implementation.
- Serves as a liaison between staff and other areas within the campus and agency.
- Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and performance evaluations.
- Develops a therapeutic relationship with each client.
- Completes all paperwork required by the agency in an accurate and timely manner (including but not limited to: time sheets, performance evaluations, staff injury/accident reports, CIR’s client goals and quarterly reviews).
- Attends supervision and required meetings, training sessions, conferences and workshops to maintain professional competency. Co-facilitates the weekly team meeting with the therapist.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects.
- Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
- Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to delegate, manage people, and evaluate staff and programs.
- Ability to physically restrain clients whose ages, heights and weights vary.
- Supervisory skills and flexibility to supervise at multiple sites. This requires extensive driving.
- Must have strong English reading, writing, and verbal skills.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to interact verbally with coworkers, representatives from outside agencies, and families.
- Requires typing and computer literacy, including Windows applications, Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail and basic database usage.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours.
Performance/Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in residential cottage setting.
- Strong oral and written skills necessary.
- Must be able to communicate with clients, students, participants, co-workers, and supervisors using all means of communication including but not limited to, in-person, phone, and computer.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required, Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field is preferred.
- Experience working with children having emotional/behavioral/psychiatric problems preferred.
- Supervisory experience and strong organizational skills are preferred.
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
- Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and drug screening
