What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Machine Yard Attendant position at Opportunities?
Job Summary:
Work safely, follow PPE guidelines, stage and fuel equipment, assist customers, inspect and document machines, maintain records, organize the yard, respond quickly to messages, update inventory, plug in electric units, and report any issues promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Work safely and adhere to all PPE guidelines/requirements
- ONESTOWERS -Legendary Customer Experience (External and Internal)
- Stage equipment and attachments for customers before they arrive in the designated area
- Hook up Hydro Mechanical Work tools to ensure they function correctly before the customer arrives (cap off hydraulic lines if sent separately)
- Ensure equipment is full of fuel, gasoline, propane, or full electric charge
- Assist and support customers in picking up and dropping off equipment
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency when working with customers. If they must wait, briefly share with them what you are doing to satisfy them.
- Ensure Rent Ready Tags are installed on all Stowers-owned equipment (Green, Yellow, Red)
- Log refueling needed
- Ensure Yellow Customer Service Tags are attached to customer-owned machines immediately upon arrival
- Notate fuel level and damage
- Inspect/log, and take 4 corner pictures when all equipment leaves and arrives in the yard
- Document damage and alert the appropriate representative immediately.
- Receive all machines in DBS once the visual inspection, and pictures have been taken and fuel logged
- Reconcile nightly before leaving for the day that everything has been received
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage/movement
- Organize and store equipment in assigned areas
- Daily reposition of New and Used Machines on Yard in designated areas as inventory fluctuates
- Perform regular inspections of yard areas to ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Respond promptly to phone calls, text messages and emails
- Scan/Reconcile inventory weekly and turn in to the appropriate personnel
- Barcode Inventory
- Send pictures to the Used Equipment Manager upon receiving the used machines
- Remove Customer Stickers from Used Machines if traded in
- Put all machines on share point/ spreadsheet for all branches
- Plug in all-electric machines 6 am/12 pm/5 pm (scissors, man lifts, twincas, sherpas, CMX’s)
- Alert the appropriate representative of anything odd, for example, no bucket going with a machine, a smooth edge on a bucket, the machine leaking fluids, etc.

- Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
- Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

- Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professionalism.

Physical Requirements
- Pass a pre-employment background check, physical exam including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
- Able to lift 20-70 pounds occasionally. And push or pull up to 100 pounds.
