The Service Shop Assembler is responsible for assembling small engines and other store items as needed. The Service Shop Assembler ensures the products are built according to specifications.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Service Shop Assembler reports directly to the Service Shop Manager.
- Service Shop Assembler will have no direct supervisory authority.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret specification manuals or assembly blueprints to assemble product accordingly.
- Perform quality control checks that entail inspecting, operating, and testing completed products.
- Align or position components needed for assembly, either by manual placement or by using hoists.
- Must be able to perform in a productive and positive manner with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Loading and unloading equipment, and machine assembly.
- Must represent Runnings in a professional and positive manner.
- May assist with routine small engine maintenance and repairs.
- Perform on-site evaluations and equipment demos.
- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain proper certifications that may be required.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, delivery truck, etc.
OTHER DUTIES
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Shop Manager.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May need to work an irregular work schedule.
- Must be detail orientated.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to comprehend new processes, multi-task, and properly plan and prioritize tasks.
- Positive and professional interactions with co-workers, self-motivation, and strong work ethic.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
