Opportunity Bank of Montana is adding to our outstanding team with a Learning and Development Specialist. This role may be based from Billings, Helena, or Missoula. In this role, you will assist in the development, administration and assessment of learning and development programs to improve organizational performance and individual performance for all staff levels. Primary functional areas for this position will be New Employee Onboarding, Information Systems and Technology, and Lending:
- Effectively communicate and integrate the Bank's core values into all learning and development initiatives, including new hire orientation and ongoing training programs.
- Assist in obtaining, organizing, and designing learning objectives, course content and methods of instruction for assigned focus areas.
- Develop cross-skill capabilities to provide L&D support for multiple departments.
- Assist in measuring training outcomes to assess training program effectiveness.
- Facilitate the delivery of learning solutions under general supervision using a variety of techniques including classroom training, online training, and other technologies.
- Collaborate with manager to communicate progress of employees on learning and development programs and objectives.
- Assist in reviewing and revising learning content to ensure adherence to departmental principles of best practice.
- Coordinate and providing feedback to Learning & Development Manager when employees are not able to comprehend learning content.
- Assist in coordinating or providing training logistics such as meeting invitations, booking rooms, and securing technology.
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining new and existing content utilizing Learning Management Software (LMS) and other applicable software.
- Assist in the administration of Learning Management Software.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuing education by reading current journals, books, e-materials, and attending conferences/webinars as appropriate.
- Support business line and corporate (bank-wide) learning and development initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
4-year college degree (communications, instructional design, education, human resources, or related); or equivalent combination of education & experience
Knowledge and application of adult learning principles
Education and Experience Preferences
4-year college degree (communications, instructional design, human resources, or related) and 1 year of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education & experience
Knowledge of financial institution products, services, and terminology
1 or more years of previous banking/financial industry experience including knowledge of compliance and bank regulations
eLearning design, technical development, implementation and troubleshooting of web-based training modules.
