What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales & Client Care Manager position at Opportunity Barks Inc.?
Sales & Client Care - Lifestyle Dog Training
Are you a people-loving, dog-obsessed human who thrives on building authentic connections? Do you believe sales isn’t about slick talk but about solving real problems with heart and honesty? If you’re nodding your head, we’re probably your kind of people.
At OPB, we’re not just a dog training company; we’re the category-defining leader in lifestyle dog training. Our team lives by the mantra We Work for the Dog™, and we’re looking for a Sales Lead who is as passionate about people as they are about pups. This role isn’t about pushing products — it’s about creating meaningful conversations, guiding people through their training journey, and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
We operate in a dynamic, evolving environment that thrives on collaboration and bold thinking. We’re committed to delivering transformative results for our clients and for the organization — because results matter.
What You’ll Do:
Human First:
- Build genuine connections with prospective and current clients, understanding their unique needs and fears.
- Lead with curiosity. Ask the right questions and actually listen.
- Collaborate to refine and elevate our radically authentic sales approach.
Client Care That Gives a Damn:
- Handle inquiries, cancellations, and reschedules with the care and empathy of a trusted friend.
- Focus on optimizing and making life easier for our clients to work alongside of us, to create a seamless client experience.
- Proactive follow-up with our clients during and after
- Partner with our program managers to ensure clients have a seamless experience from the first call to graduation day and beyond.
- Proactively follow up
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve like a pro, making sure no client feels like they’re left hanging.
Create. Iterate. Elevate.
- Develop and continuously refine scripts, confirmations, and processes that align with our brand voice — real, relatable, and full of heart.
- Everything is tracked in our CRM for ease to enhance our client communication - so you must embrace technology.
- Integrate social media and community conversations into our sales process. If someone’s talking about their dog’s meltdown in the park, we want to be the ones who reach out and offer a lifeline.
- Implement client care across all teams, inspired by gold-standard service models (yes, we’re talking Ritz Carlton level).
What We’re Looking For:
- A super detail-oriented and driven people person with proven experience in sales and client care, preferably in a service-based industry.
- Someone who brings good energy and genuinely loves helping others - you’re often the first interaction with the company so warmth and care matters!
- A clear communicator who can think on their feet and handle tough conversations with grace.
- Able to move quickly, take direction, and implement and do what needs to be done to get things over the line.
- Since this is a newer position, we need someone able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment,t knowing they are an important part of creating success - your perspective and opinion are very valued and encouraged here.
- Someone who loves being part of and succeeding as a team unit
- Curious, open-minded, and always ready to level up.
- Comfortable learning and using CRM systems, scheduling tools, and any new tech we throw your way.
Why You’ll Love It Here:
- We’re obsessed with growth — for our clients, our dogs, and ourselves.
- You’ll work alongside a team that supports, inspires, and challenges you.
- Opportunities to lead, innovate, and build a legacy in the dog training industry.
- Dogs. Lots and lots of dogs.
Compensation:
- Pay $42,000 - $100,000 per year (depending on performance)
- Flat Hourly Rate Monthly Sales Bonuses
