VP Quality Assurance and Data Governance DescriptionOpportunity Finance Network is looking for a Vice President, Quality Assurance and Data Governance. This role will lead organization-wide efforts to ensure data integrity, reliability, and compliance across all data systems, processes, and analytics platforms. This role will also oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework and robust quality assurance strategy that supports OFN’s mission of driving capital into low-income communities and strengthening Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) nationwide. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule.Core Responsibilities : Data Governance Strategy and Implementation : Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework to establish ownership, stewardship, and accountability for all organizational data assets.Define and enforce policies, standards, and processes for data management, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including the EPA’s Terms and Conditions under the CCIA award.Oversee the creation and maintenance of a centralized data catalog and data lineage documentation.Partner with technology and business teams to ensure data accessibility, security, and privacy, aligning practices with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable standards.Monitor and mitigate risks related to data quality, compliance, and governance.Quality Assurance Framework Development : Design and oversee a robust quality assurance strategy to validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all organizational systems and reports.Lead the implementation of automated data quality checks, validations, and anomaly detection processes for data pipelines and analytics platforms.Develop test plans for new data systems and tools, ensuring they meet functional, performance, and compliance standards before deployment.Identify and resolve data discrepancies, working with stakeholders to address root causes and prevent recurrence.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Serve as the primary point of contact for data governance and quality across departments, ensuring alignment on data priorities and standards.Collaborate with other OFN teams to embed governance and quality best practices into operational workflows and projects.Provide guidance on data governance and quality considerations for new systems, tools, and initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.Continuous Improvement and Reporting : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance and quality programs.Deliver regular updates to senior leadership on data governance and quality metrics, initiatives, and progress.Identify opportunities to enhance organizational data practices through process improvement, technology enhancements, and policy refinements.Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data governance and quality assurance.Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance, quality assurance, or data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven success in developing and implementing organization-wide data governance and quality assurance frameworks.Experience in regulatory compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy standards.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements : Must possess a strong passion for, understanding of, and commitment to OFN’s mission, vision, and values.
