Job Summary:
The Director of Residential & Community Living (RCL) will manage Opportunity Partners operations of our licensed and unlicensed residential and community service programs; Homebase, In-Home-Services, & Residential. You will administer, evaluate, and ensure that all the operations of assigned residential and community living services are performed in an efficient and effective manner within regulatory and/or contractual agreements. You will oversee the financial budget of our programs to make sure that they reflect the philosophy and goals of Opportunity Partners. You will research and develop new service offerings & best practices. You will manage a team of four to six Program Managers within the residential community living program.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 based upon experience & qualifications
How will you make a difference?
- Leadership: Build a healthy and productive work environment through positive distributive leadership. Promote honest, open two-way communication with staff, persons served, and other stakeholders. Provide staff development and career coaching to our Program Managers. Conduct annual performance reviews and disciplinary actions when needed.
- Financial Management: Develop and oversee the residential & community program budget in a cost-effective manner. Identify new sources of income, improve efficiencies and implement change within our programs. Monitor monthly/quarterly/annual expenses and revenues on a regular basis and respond to significant variances. Identify new sources of income, improve income efficiencies and implement financial changes to meet monthly/quarterly/annual budgetary needs.
- Program Management: Oversee the administration of residential & community programs to make sure that they comply with of the funding sources and regulatory agencies requirements and reporting is completed on a timely basis. Review person served documentation, vulnerable adult reports, incident and accident reports, in-service training, customer satisfaction, and intake procedures to remain familiar with trends and ensure licensing compliance. Investigate and develop evaluate procedures that meet the requirements of Department of Human Services Department certification/licensing.
- Service Design: Develop goals, procedures, programs and philosophy of residential and community-based programs so that they serve the needs of the community and reflect the mission of the agency. Notify & educate Program Managers about new program procedures and goals. Manage program outcomes at least annually through our quality systems.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional human service conferences and industry groups to bring new practices and ideas that can be implemented at Opportunity Partners. Maintain cooperative working relationships with professional organizations in the metro area to share best practices and ideas.
What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?
- Bachelors degree in either Social Services or Human Services
- Minimum of five years of operating residential and community service programs with a residential agency.
- Minimum of three years of supervising experience
