Job Summary
As a Support Coach, you will support people with disabilities to grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible, both on-site in a classroom setting and in the community. You will have fun while working and laugh every day with a great team!
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Wage: $19.00 per hour
As Part Of Our Team, You Will
- Assist individuals in participating in individual and group activities
- Grow and develop people's social skills
- Provide opportunities for independence, community integration, and inclusion
- Maintain a calm, neutral tone, and emotion level when assisting people with disabilities, who are expressing heightened communication styles
- Promote growth through achieving goals identified in their support plans including positive behavior support, communication, community integration, and other goals as specified
- Implement other therapeutic plans that promote safety and well-being for individuals we support
- Assist people with disabilities with their personal care needs
- Provide physical activities such as, walking or stretching or exercise inside or outside of the classroom to keep our them active.
- A desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities!
- One year of experience in human services field
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must have a valid MN driver’s license
