Job Summary: The Warehouse Team Lead will oversee the shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods in our Minnetonka facility. You will lead & train a team of temporary Shipping & Receiving Clerks to move our raw materials and finished goods in our facility and shipping area.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Wage: $22.00 per hour
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the incoming receiving of product. This includes customer provided inventory along with OP inventory. This is done within Acumatica along with other means of data entry. Duties may include a) unloading trucks; b) verifying counts; c) writing up receiving tickets
- Unloads freight from trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Verifies counts
- Contacts customers and vendors on receiving shortages.
- Prepares receiving tickets when counts are verifies.
- Labels product that had been received so the warehouse maintains an efficient flow.
- Notes freight damage on drivers copy and Opportunity Partners copy with drivers signature.
- Oversees and monitors the shipping department. Duties include but are not limited to: a) monitoring customers due dates; b) preparing shipping tickets; c) taking counts on finished products.
- Loads outbound trucks
- Uses Acumatica to ensure customer due dates are met and coordinates with customer service and Materials Manager on shipment time.
- Takes counts on finished product and notifies Materials Manager of discrepancies. Works with inventory specialists to resolve counts.
- Prepares all shipping paperwork.
- Ensures all paperwork is correct.
- Schedules delivery services when O.P. truck schedule is full.
- Prepares international paperwork for shipments going to Canada.
- Coordinates product picking and shipping of customer owned inventory.
- Performs all processing of UPS packages and truck orders so that shipments are ready on time. Duties include but are not limited to: a) staging customers truck orders; b) filling all U.P.S. orders; c) writing up shipping tickets on all outgoing material.
- Relays shortages customer service along with answering questions regarding shipments.
- Prepares shipping paperwork and bill of lading for all pertinent shipments
- Calls all trucking dispatches for pickups.
- Closes out UPS manifest each day.
- Traces lost UPS and truck orders for customers.
- Delivers all incoming UPS and similar carriers packages to correct personnel at O.P.
- Takes physical inventory for UPS customers at months end.
- Other duties and responsibilities:
- Assists and covers for warehouse personnel.
- Helps maintain warehouse organization
- Assists and trains employees on receiving and shipping duties.
- Assist in training new temporary and full-time shipping-warehouse associates.
- Assist with cycle count program (monthly, daily)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or GED is required
- Minimum of one year of shipping & receiving experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Zero to six months of supervisory experience overseeing the temporary Material Handlers is preferred.
