SUMMARY
Under the direction of department managers the Neighborhood Cub Lead Direct Support Professional will assist with the development and implementation of individual support plans as part of a day habilitation and prevocational program placement for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Lead role will aid in educating, coaching, and training Direct Support professionals on efftective care techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and or physical disabilities.
- Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
- Provide personal care support for individuals served.
- Assist with the daily coordination of Direct Support Professionals.
- Provide department specific training/mentoring for all new team members and continuing , training/mentoring for current team members.
- Conduct daily team huddles to solicit feedback, answer questions, and communicate relevant information to Direct Support Professionals.
- Report and collaborate with Managers regarding team member performance
- Read service and habilitation plans for all individuals served to ensure proper care according to their plan(s).
- Assist individuals toward the achievement of their individual goals and to perform and participate in daily scheduled activities.
- Ensure proper documentation is complete (i.e. ID notes, communication logs, schedules, incident reports and Paycom).
- Responsible for maintaining records (i.e. monthly calendar, daily activities, active treatment, scheduling, community outings and reporting volunteer hours).
- Maintain the compliance of team member to individual ratio.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Anticipate safety needs for all individuals and team members and report any and all issues or concerns to department managers as soon as possible.
- Comply with all Federal, State (Desert Regional Center - DRC) and local regulations and requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Attend Person Centered Plan (PCP) meetings
- May be assigned other duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
With the support and assistance of the department Supervisor,this position coordinates and provides team leadership for Direct Support Professionals.
