Job Title: Florist Driver/Delivery & Shop Help
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Florist Driver/Delivery & Shop Help to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral sales and delivery, as well as excellent customer service skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist with the delivery of fresh flowers and/or hard goods products
* Support individuals served by following and adhering to OWC policies and individual IP Plans
* Maintain a clean, neat and organized shop, deliveries, and assist with inventory management
* Ring up customers, help bring customer purchases to their vehicles, and assist with online floral sales
* Participate in OWC fundraising events and other duties as they arise
Requirements:
* Prior experience in the floral or garden center environment is helpful but not mandatory
* Ability to work in a cold environment for long periods of time, as well as hot environments and uneven surfaces
* Must be able to lift 40 lbs, walk on uneven surfaces, and stand for long periods of time
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
* High school diploma or equivalent required, with 3 years of driving experience and a valid driver's license
* CPR/First Aid, Med Cert, PMT a plus
Working Conditions:
* Flexible hours, including Saturdays from 10am to 2pm
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physical requirements include carrying a minimum of 40 pounds, bending, standing, and sitting for long periods of time
