Position Title: Clinic Outreach & Development Coordinator (Part-Time)
Reports to: Director of Marketing
The Clinic Outreach & Development Coordinator will play a key role in growing the patient base for the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society (OPRF IWS) IWS Children’s Clinic, which provides medical and dental care to children from under-resourced households, primarily on Medicaid. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with medical practices, community organizations, and other referral sources to ensure more children have access to the Clinic. The ideal candidate loves growing businesses, is highly organized, and professional.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Build a network of Medicaid dental and medical Clinics in Chicagoland that can serve as referrals to the IWS Children’s Clinic.
- Cultivate relationships with referring physicians and dentists at these Clinics by scheduling regular meetings and presentations at their practices.
- Grow awareness of the IWS Children’s Clinic by promoting services to community database (including houses of worship, community centers, community organizations, schools, day care centers) on a regular basis. Outreach efforts include email, calls, and in-person visits.
- Maintain and upkeep existing database.
- Develop outreach collateral including PowerPoint presentations to effectively build relationships with all external community partners.
- Provide monthly results to leadership team.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year University required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in health care setting with a medical clinic a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse organizations. Comfort in cold calling.
- Experience in outreach, partnership development, or community engagement (preferably in healthcare or non-profit settings) is required.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and underserved populations is a plus.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Position Details:
- Hours: 5-10 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
- Location: Hybrid (in-person and remote hours).
- Compensation: $22-24/hour
- Driving: Reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required, as driving is necessary for this position.
- Benefits: This job does not offer benefits due to its part-time nature.
Salary : $22 - $24
