Accounting and Finance teams to ensure initiatives and projects related to the ERP system and related Oracle modules are well designed, implemented, and supported to meet growing business needs. Provide leadership in the day-to-day support of business processes and identify and implement solutions to any issues. Reports to Manager of IT Business Applications.
- Design, develop, and implement assigned programs and applications. Must be able to take detailed business requirements to create applications or enhancements that respond to end user needs and provide innovative solutions to problems. Perform prototyping, application tests, and code reviews to ensure satisfactory product. Work with other IT team members to solve complex problems.
- Responsible for existing software programs and applications in addition to new development. Perform debugging, testing, code improvement, and re-designing tasks. Work with service desk and vendors to optimize products and ensure products stay up-to-date and continue to satisfy end user needs.
- Provide end users with ongoing software program and application technical support to maintain designated system functionality to provide a stable operating environment for the end-user community. This support includes responding to end user issues in a timely manner, providing updated software that solves bug issues, performing installs for customers, and communicating status to end users.
- Maintain System Support Structure documentation for designated IT applications. Serve as the top-tier application support escalation point to the business stakeholders in accordance with the System Support Structure.
- Consult with other members of IT to identify the impact of software program and applications changes in the IT landscape and mitigate systems risks. Test and approve changes as they relate to designated applications, coordinate appropriate user acceptance testing, timing of changes, and ensure proper communication has been released prior to all changes.
- Actively participate and serve as a primary system subject matter expert on project teams.
- Perform end-user training as needed for designated applications. Aid in the development of training materials. Provide service desk documentation and training on researching, identifying and resolving software program and application issues. Maintain application compliance for PCI and SOX audit purposes
- -this includes relevant documentation, testing, and validation of regulations and reviews findings with IT security and risk and assurance departments and identified external audit organizations. Responsible for any corrective actions taken.
- Assist in determining future hardware and software requirements for the brand, as well as obtaining relevant pricing from vendor products and services.
- Prepare RCA documentation as needed for designated applications and ensure all action items and implementation steps are completed timely.
- Manage small projects as required. Maintain project documentation to ensure visibility and delivery of solutions on time, within scope and budget.
- Research the industry and maintain awareness of hospitality and technology industry trends and issues, along with new functionality of designated applications. Use knowledge to suggest to business partners and IT management strategies and improvements to support RHP's differentiation and competitive advantage. Suggest methods of improving business practices and/or guest service.
- Assist in management of vendor contracts including, but not limited to, contract execution, POs, invoices, monthly accruals, forecasting, and budgeting. Manage vendor contracts and ensure costs and SLAs are appropriately accounted for. Maintain support and maintenance forecast processes for designated applications.
- Mentor and train less experienced analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, computer science or related experience
6-10 years of experience required in ERP applications support and administration (Core
financials, AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets, SCM, cash management)
3 years of support experience required w/Fusion Cloud ERP
Preferred experience in EPM (account reconciliation and close management)
Preferred experience with retail operations (inventory management, procurement, sales
processing)
Preferred experience with OIC ETL tool
Prior knowledge of common financial and accounting and business practices having worked with
Accounting and Finance teams
Ability to build reports in SmartView, FRS and OTBI
Must possess strong analytical and investigative skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to write technical reports understandable to non-IT staff
