Serve as shift lead and supervise the audio-visual staff of a restaurant, bar, and entertainment destination. Ensure world-class technical execution and the delivery of quality experiences for visiting artists and guests. Reports to Manager of Production.
- Serve as shift lead and onsite audio-visual contact for equipment load-in, set-up, tear-down, and load-out for regular music performances and events.
- Work with technical services staff and venue leadership to coordinate onsite production during events, providing stage direction when needed.
- Ensure that all equipment is used safely, in accordance with proper industry standards, from the load-in through the load-out.
- Coordinate break times for hourly A/V staff and house bands.
- Lead venue technical staff in preventative maintenance and repair of audio/visual/lighting equipment and media appliances.
- Maintain operational understanding of current audio/video/lighting/backline technologies and provide backup support to stage manager and technical equipment operators.
- Interface with technical services, IT staff and other departments concerning technical systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with production vendors.
- Communicate and uphold all corporate standards, guidelines, policies and procedures in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations. Maintain personal integrity by abiding by and supporting the values and principles of the company. Follow and support brand SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- 3 years of experience working as audio or video engineer for a national touring act, production vendor/supplier, performance venue, and/or hotel A/V department
- Hands-on experience required with equipment repair procedures and maintenance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of music, acoustics, stage lighting, and video engineering is required
Licenses / Certifications
- Non-Gaming Work Permit Card required upon hire
