OPS Diagnostics is seeking a Assistant General Manager to help in moving all areas of the company forward, including research, business development, manufacturing and operations. This position requires an understanding of business administration, excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to interact with people. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain business administration experience in a research and manufacturing environment. The individual will report to the President and Director of Business Development.
The major responsibilities of this position will be to work with associates and management to define and monitor projects, and ensure the smooth operation of the company. The candidate will need to monitor projects and provide summaries to the management team. When the company experiences roadblocks, the Assistant General Manager is encouraged to help overcome obstacles to the best of their abilities, and work with all team members to find solutions. This position is very hands-on.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter as they will not only be responsible for their own projects but will help to ensure other areas of the company are operating well. The successful candidate will step into our team environment and help when needed.
Good analytical and organizational skills are essential as they will be responsible for collecting and organizing information. The successful candidate will be personable, excel in written and verbal communication, and effectively work with co-workers and customers.
A four-year degree is required, preferably in business administration, marketing or economics. A minor in science, medicine, and/or agriculture would be a bonus. Alternatively, an individual with a science background but strong interest in business will be equally considered. Experience in an office environment would be beneficial. Proficiency with Office 365 (or similar) and Windows systems are necessary, as well as being technically savvy.
Responsibilities of the Assistant General Manager position will include:
- Collaborating with all associates, from manufacturing to research
- Participation in business development projects
- Participating in weekly discussions and monthly reviews
- Working with a team to move projects to completion
- Provide support in scheduling and operations

OPS Diagnostics offers a family-friendly work environment, quarterly and yearly bonuses, healthcare allowance, profit sharing, and competitive salary. Base salary is $49-54,000/year with performance bonuses up to $8000/year, depending on company and individual performance.
