Position Contingent Upon Contract Award
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in verbal and non-violent physical interactions, such as shouting, arm gestures, and role-specific communication, as scripted
- Adapt to dynamic scenarios that reflect various cultural and geographic locations
- Potentially portray a variety of scripted roles including:
- Merchants, bankers, and townspeople
- Extremists
- Members of local governance, religious groups, and tribes
- Refugees, displaced persons, and oppressed individuals
- Hostile combatants and criminal detainees in prison environments
- Attend routine activities such as meetings and social events as part of assigned roles
Work Environment
- Work primarily conducted near Barstow, CA with occasional assignments in nearby remote locations
- The environment may expose individuals to extreme climates including heat, cold, rain, wind, and snow
- Physically demanding conditions include walking up to 3 miles per day over rocky or sandy terrain and standing for up to 8 hours per day
- Operate independently with self-sustained equipment and appropriate clothing for the 16-day training rotation
- Live in Augmentee Barracks during the training rotation
- Operate in environments that may include training pyrotechnics (e.g., blanks, smoke, explosions) within a 25-meter proximity
- Transportation provided to remote training locations
- Access to on-site dining facilities and commercial food establishments (PX Food Court,
- Burger King, etc.)
- Limited electrical power and self-sustaining requirements (e.g., personal comfort items, clothing, and food) during training rotations
- Attire for Role Players shall be provided, stored, and maintained by OTA
Qualifications
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. (original documentation required 30 days prior to each rotation)
- Background checks, including criminal activity, credit, and immigration documentation
- Completion of required security forms (e.g., SF 85P, OF 306, FBI fingerprint check)
- Must provide signed authorization for military and law enforcement background reviews
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Good physical condition, with the ability to endure extended periods of standing and walking in harsh environments
- Professional demeanor in all interactions
- Adherence to base rules regarding personal items (e.g., no personal weapons, cameras, or recording devices)
