Senior Development Chemist - US

As part of our growth we are looking for a Senior Development Chemist in Lancaster, PA where you will be part of a global rock star Research and Development team!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Undertake product development activities as required to support the current product range and develop new products in line with business strategy.

· Product development activities to include laboratory formulation work mainly targeting inks, lacquers and adhesives, plus the combining of various coatings to meet customer product requirements.

· Manage ongoing project work efficiently and in a timely manner, adhering to quality, health, safety and environment policies at all times.

· Supervise customer development trials as required.

· Contribute towards development of laboratory processes and procedures.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of new and existing products and manufacturing processes.

· Ensure thorough validation of new and modified products prior to manufacturing implementation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

· Educated to degree level in chemistry, polymer science, material science or related subject.

· Must possess good IT skills.

· Must have basic knowledge of FTIR, UV/VIS, and some Thermal Analysis.

· Must be practical minded with a strong ‘hands on’ approach.

· Preferably some experience formulating UV-cure, solvent and/or water-based lacquers and adhesives

· Must have good communication skills interacting at all levels from shop floor to senior management
