Position Summary
The primary responsibility for the Logistics Desk Operator is managing the transportation of fluids from its source to the proper destination, ensuring compliant, efficient and cost-effective delivery working in a Control Center. This position is required to communicate effectively with multiple departments at CNX (including Production, Drilling, and Completions), other operators logistics desks, Disposal/reuse facilities, fluid manufacturers, and contractor dispatchers. This position oversees and assigns haulers and vehicles per received requests understanding operational needs while considering source and destination requirements. This position coordinates haulers according to and in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules; as well as provides updates to customers on delivery status and job completion. This position is also required to cross train on the Water Transfer Desk.
Target Responsibilities
· Receive emergency calls for the company and follow emergency procedures.
· Monitor weather for all operational areas and communicate any issues or concerns including freezing temperatures, road conditions, etc.
· Monitor trucking activity and tank levels remotely to prevent well shut-ins and gas production losses.
· Recognize inefficient hauling operations and take corrective action.
· Monitor/record all key operational parameters and report any anomalies in a timely manner, with particular attention to production rates, alarms, and non-productive times.
· Maintain appropriate records and documents of daily activities and submit reports as required.
· Work effectively in a team environment to monitor, resolve and escalate operational and safety issues.
· Monitor SCADA/Wonderware and email alarms and take appropriate corrective action.
· Report potential process safety issues and operational optimizations to the supervisor and appropriate personnel.
· Understand and follow company standards, operating procedures, and recommended practices.
· Monitor SCADA/Wonderware system health including communications with remote devices. Identify missing data and SCADA/Wonderware polling issues.
· Work closely with Operations, Production, and Water Transfer teams.
· Cross-train with the Water transfer desk for control room flexibility and to achieve a better understanding of the complete system to improve operational value and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 2 years’ experience in Logistics, Water Management, and/or the Oil and Gas industry preferred.
· Working knowledge of gas well pads, On-site production water facilities.
· Working knowledge of SCADA/Wonderware control systems.
· Must be able to work a 12-hour shift in office, Remote work is not possible.
· Must be able to work a 7 on / 7 off schedule. Rotates day and night shift every hitch.
· Must be willing to cover shifts when needed.
· Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams and Word.
· Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be able to address and resolve logistical challenges.
· Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
