1st Shift Iron Worker (OSHA 30 & Aerial Lift Certified)

OpSource has partnered with a national construction company located in Spartanburg, SC.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Ironworker to join our team. You must be able to interpret blueprints and collaborate with other professionals on the job to ensure a mutual understanding of project scope and responsibilities. Our ideal candidate can measure, cut, and grind metal to specifications, checking that it matches the design plans. Once the components are ready, you utilize them in building, reinforcing, or repairing structures.

Pay for the position :

28hr-$32hr

Shift for the position :

1st Shift :  7am-7pm

Job requirements for the position may include :

• Synthesize information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project
• Use details from written plans and instructions from supervisors in order to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together.
• Transport heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly.
• Build steel or iron structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure.
• Ensure proper placement, balance and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs.
• Transform metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques.
• Access challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper OSHA regulations.
• Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.
• Follow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocols
