What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Pipe Fitter (1 year of pipefitting experience required) position at OpSource Staffing?
OpSource has partnered with one of the Southeast’s leading servicers of industrial boilers and burners located in Taylors SC.
Title : Pipefitter
Starting pay rate : $25-30 / hr DOE
Excellent Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm
Key Responsibilities :
- Familiar with design specifications : Ability to accurately layout pipe systems.
- Cutting and shaping pipes : Using tools like cutting torches, pipe threaders, and benders to prepare pipes for installation.
- Assembling piping systems : Joining pipes together using welding, brazing, soldering, or other methods depending on the application.
- Installing pipes and fittings : Positioning and securing pipes in place using brackets, clamps, and other support structures.
- Performing pressure tests : Checking for leaks and ensuring the integrity of the installed piping system.
- Troubleshooting and repair : Identifying and fixing malfunctions in existing piping systems.
- Maintaining system functionality : Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on piping systems.
