OpSource has partnered with an Textile exporter in Cherokee County, South Carolina
Pay for the position :
75,000-$85,000
Shift for the position :
1st Shift : 7am—4pm
Job requirements for the position may include :
Comply with 6S and all other company policies, rules, and procedures at all times.
Is aware of all company and customer quality concersn, ensures respect of audit requirements in area and has responsibility / authority to stop non-conforming products and escalate if necessary to quality or management.
Provide technical support for all carpet processes, trails and new development as well as maintenance of process specifications and continuous improvement activities.
Application of SPC, DOE or other statistical and problem solving tools for continous improvement activities.
Application of project management tools to track progress and completion times for signicant projects.
Maintain quality systems for audits to ensure that all documentation is accurate, approved and applies to current processes.
Participates in customer and supplier negotiations as pertaining to quality requirements.
Ensure that 6S is followed by all associates.
Work with QA on any quality or technical issues impacting customers.
Monitor quality performance and react to issues using tools for continuous improvement and effective planning.
Must ensure that operation conforms to all safety and environmental policies.
Active involvement in assigned projects, including work with machinery suppliers.
Work directly on customer issues as required.
Assure conformance with all quality procedures and policies for handling non-conforming materials in order to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications for the position :
B.S Degree in Textile Engineering or equivalent course of study
Minimum of 5 years experience in process engineering (preferably textile processing)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
General computer and software application skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time including walking / squatting / driving / pushing / climbing
May be subject to work with heavy / high voltage / confined spaces
