ROLE TITLE : Batch Chemical Process Operator, Level B (Intermediate Level)
HOUR REQUIREMENTS : Full-Time Hours. Typically 10 or 12 Hour Shifts. 4 or 3 Days per week depending on shift rotation schedule. As the operations expand, working on shift during a 24-hour operation a requirement in the future. (Schedules TBD with help of the new employees’ input). Initial hires will work days to start, eventually moving to shift work, multiple shifts, fixed of rotating undetermined.

The Process Operator reports to the Production Manager. A Process Operator’s job (Level B) is to prepare batches and monitor reactions as outlined in manufacturing procedures, ensure that a production process runs efficiently and safely, and that the quality and quantity of the product meets expectations.
The ideal candidate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing processes. This position is vital for maintaining the stability and productivity of manufacturing operations, which directly impacts the success and sustainability of the business. A Chemical Process Operator (Level B) is responsible for operating, monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining process equipment to ensure production.
AS A PROCESS OPERATOR, LEVEL B, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO :
- Manufacture products in conformance to plant quality standards.
- Package finished goods in conformance to plant quality standards
- Run two or more pieces of process equipment simultaneously.
- Follow accurate, timely and visible inventory methods to enhance both physical and electronic inventory.
- Perform routine field level equipment inspections to verify and monitor operation.
- Keep track of process parameters and make adjustments to ensure the product meets specifications.
- Carry out regular checks on machinery to keep it in good working order.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and fix problems with equipment and processes.
- Recording data : Accurately document production data and outcomes.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe workspace. Report all safety incidents and near misses and participate in investigations.
