Job Title : Nickle Plating Operator
Starting Pay : $21.75 / HR
Shift : 3rd 11 : 00pm- 7 : 00am Monday - Friday (must be able to train on 1st)
Employment type : Full time
Location : Inman, SC
Essential Functions
Maintain accurate records of any changes made during production
Ensure that the wire has a smooth, defect-free surface
Perform operator self-inspection (OSI) on all finished products for compatibility with customer specifications
Efficiently operate machines with a minimal amount of waste
Maintain a clean work environment
Fill out daily checklists as required
Perform operator maintenance on machines as needed
Adhere to the production schedule to minimize overrun
Move all finished plated products to the correct holding areas
Maintain chemical logbook in the inspection areas as required
Notify shift supervisor when having production, plating or maintenance related issues with any of the machines
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with exposure to loud noise. Work may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosive, fumes or airborne particles
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in the manufacturing plant environment, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required
Must be able to exhibit clear vision at 20 inches or less; and exhibit clear vision at 20 feet or more.
Must be able to exhibit solid peripheral vision; observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point
Must be able to exhibit solid depth perception; three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
Routinely required to lift objects up to 25 pounds; and occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during course of a workday
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and focus for prolonged periods
Education Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or prior quality or inspection experience prefe rably in a manufacturing environment
