Lamp room Associate

Opsource Staffing in Spartanburg has partnered with a local recycling center in Spartanburg, SC.

Pay rate : $14.00.

Shift :

Mon-Fri 6am – 4pm. Hours may vary depending on the season / weather.
Summertime hours – 6am – 3 : 30pm
Wintertime hours – 7am – 4pm.

Job requirements :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each task in a satisfactory manner. Additional minor duties may be assigned.

Follow proper processing procedures for mercury containing lamps, including safe destruction of light bulbs for proper disposal.

Follow all required safety and personal protective equipment facility guidelines, including the use of a respirator, as required.

Conduct daily pre- and post- shift safety inspection of equipment.

Keep work area clean of debris and maintain good housekeeping.

Ensure proper labeling and container requirements are met.

Will segregate and properly process all fluorescent mercury-containing lamps into processing equipment.

Will segregate and properly process all non-fluorescent mercury-containing lamps following proper hand processing procedures and safety guidelines.

Must be able to pass respirator fit test to qualify for lamp room. A respirator is required to be worn at all times in the lamp room.

Qualifications :

Must be able to pass a respirator fit test with Occupational health.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Must be able to pass a drug test.
