The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.Essential Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public administration, business administration or a job-related field and two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or a related field.A master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience.Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.General Knowledge : Knowledge of the methods and problems of organizational management, research, and interview techniques. Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations, obtain factual and interpretative information through interviews, and advise students individually and in groups on complex student-related matters.Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrated experiences working with a diverse student population.Knowledge of accredited 4-year higher education institutions’ general education academic requirements and policies.Proficiency in using common office suites and relevant student engagement platforms.A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
