Skills of a successful CNA:
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and patients.
- Build trusting relationship with patients and family members with person-centered care techniques.
- Assist patients and residents to the level of their ability with activities of daily living. Tasks may include:
- Assisting to stand and walk
- Assisting to shower or bathe
- Assisting residents with personal needs.
- Encouraging residents to participate in activities and events.
- Reporting to nurse any changes in conditions or other monitoring requests.
- Communicate professionally interdepartmentally.
- Complete accurate documentation to ensure effective care as part of the clinical team.
- Maintain professional and motivating team-oriented approach to care.

Qualifications for CNA applicant's:
Must be state tested, certified nurse aide in Michigan.
