Job Title : Cook Department : Dietary
Summary : As a Cook you will have responsibility of food production in the kitchen operations. This position plays an integral role in managing the food production operations while ensuring client and customer service. This successful leader must have the ability to work in a diverse work environment while remaining focused on client and customer satisfaction.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience : 2 years related experience and / or training in food production.

Work in a cooperative manner with team members, guests, and client personnel. Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictions. Prepare and serve high quality and great tasting meals. All assigned duties.
Other Duties : Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances, Participate in staff meetings and education programs designated for attendance. All other duties as assigned.

Involves repetitive motion; walking and / or standing for extended periods of time. Frequent lifting, pushing, and carrying. move intermittently during working hours and is subject to frequent interruptions, Is involved with residents / clients, personnel, visitors, government agencies / personnel, etc. under all conditions and circumstances, Communicate with medical staff, nursing personnel and other department supervisors, Work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary as well as in other positions as needed, Is subject to call-back during emergency situations (i.e. severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.), Is subject to injury from slip / falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc. throughout the workday Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB, AIDS, and Hepatitis B Viruses, May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
