Laundry Aide
Belle Fountain - Riverview, MI
Currently for 6a - 2p and 11a - 7p shifts.
Contingent, Part-Time, or Full-Time available.
Our Laundry Aides provide linen and personal cleaning services to our residents. Laundry Aides are part of the Environmental Services team, working closely with housekeeping, as well as the clinical team members to make sure our residents personal needs are met.
Laundry Aide Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collect personal clothing and facility linen from units
- Complete sorting and washing of clothing and linen
- Deliver personal clothes and hygiene products to residents timely and courteously
- Ensure clothes and linens are in good condition - notify supervisor if not
- Assist with resident packing of belongings if discharging
- Conduct cleaning and routine checks of laundry equipment
- Deliver linens for use on each shift
- Attend required staff in-service
- Other duties as assigned to support the whole team
Laundry Aide Requirements:
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
- Prior experience in long term care is preferred.
- Prior experience in commercial restaurant is preferred.
