Unit Manager RN - Saginaw

Job Summary:

The Unit Manager RN is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the nursing staff and patient care in a designated unit. The Unit Manager RN ensures that the unit operates efficiently and effectively, and that patient care is delivered in accordance with established standards of care and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the nursing staff in the unit
• Ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with established standards of care and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the unit
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care and nursing services
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of nursing staff
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
• Ensure that the unit operates efficiently and effectively
• Manage the unit budget and resources
• Participate in performance improvement activities

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of Michigan
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards of care
• Ability to manage a budget and allocate resources effectively
