- Data modeling : Ability to structure data in a way that optimizes analysis and reporting within Power BI, including creating relationships between tables and designing data hierarchies.
- Data Transformation and Cleansing : Cleaning and manipulating raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency before analysis, utilizing Power Query features.
- Data Visualization : Selecting appropriate visual elements (charts, graphs, maps) to effectively communicate insights from data.
- DAX Formulas : Writing complex calculations using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to derive insights from data within Power BI.
- Business Requirements Gathering : Effectively communicating with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data reporting requirements.
- Data Source Connectivity : Connecting Power BI to diverse data sources such as Excel files, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
- Dashboard Creation : Designing interactive dashboards that provide a holistic view of key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and key control indicators (KCIs).
