What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Analyst position at OpTech?
Our client is seeking a Commercial Lending Quality Analyst for long-term projects with a collaborative team. This team works hybrid in Farmington Hills, Michigan, twice a week.
Key Responsibilities
- The Commercial Lending QC Analyst reviews complex loan documentation to validate and update loan data, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as lender procedures.
- This includes researching RECAPS and supporting loan documentation of varying complexity to determine compliance coding for reporting.
- The Analyst also reviews loan servicing transactions and collateral records for accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Review
- Manage production queues to ensure alignment with requested actions, LBS, credit approval, and loan documentation.
- Review ad-hoc reports and conduct research on loan data.
- Validate the accuracy of booking and servicing transactions.
- Respond to inquiries in a timely, courteous, and informative manner.
- Update commercial loan data while meeting production standards with high accuracy.
- Handle multiple loan products, utilizing multiple systems to view and research documents.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Perform monthly self-tests and provide findings to internal risk teams.
- Identify and document deficiencies in reports and/or systems.
- Collaborate with LTS team members to identify and communicate gaps in processes, policies, and procedures.
Reporting
- Document findings/exceptions, root cause of errors within assigned databases.
- Complete all checklists and job aids to ensure correct exception reporting.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in financial services or lending operations.
- 2 years of experience in Banking, Accounts Payable/Receivables.
- 1 year of experience in Closing and/or Servicing.
- 1 year of familiarity with bank regulations and compliance.
Job-Specific Skills
- Knowledge of AFS Level III or AFS Vision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
