Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Tech/Scribe to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting ophthalmologists by accurately documenting patient encounters and assisting with the flow of information within the medical office. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent typing skills to ensure precise transcription of medical records.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe patient encounters during examinations and procedures, ensuring all relevant information is documented in real-time.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records by inputting data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist ophthalmologists in documenting medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and ophthalmic procedures to enhance documentation accuracy.
- Support the organization of the medical office by managing patient flow and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to ophthalmology.
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
