Optician/Technician

**Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyewear, interpreting prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists, and providing exceptional customer service. **Duties:** - Assist customers in selecting frames based on their prescription, facial features, and style preferences - Take accurate measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear - Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and materials - Adjust and repair eyewear as needed - Maintain accurate customer records - Work closely with eye care professionals to ensure the best possible vision care for customers **Skills:** - Proficiency in medical coding for insurance billing - Knowledge of senior care considerations in eyewear selection - Experience in retail sales, particularly in the optical industry - Understanding of physiology and anatomy related to the eye - Familiarity with aseptic techniques for handling eyewear - Ability to work with pediatric patients in selecting appropriate eyewear - Knowledge of ophthalmology practices and procedures - Proficient in medical terminology related to vision care - Experience working in a laboratory setting for lens preparation This position offers a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
