Summary / Objective :
The Cloud Engineer provides technical leadership in problem solving, security, maintenance, and project build situations, formulating solutions for improvement, and working with peers to establish a strategic direction for the environment. This position will secure, install, maintain, and configure systems inside our Azure cloud platform. Lead the team and collaborate with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures. Set and manage work processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
Drive optimization initiatives across our Azure PaaS environment, with particular focus on performance and scalability
Design and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies that provide actionable insights
Conduct deep-dive analysis of performance issues, focusing on root cause analysis and permanent resolution
Create and maintain performance dashboards for stakeholder visibility
Work directly with development teams to improve application performance and resource efficiency
Research and implement Azure platform best practices for our specific use cases
Provision and support web and mobile application infrastructure in our enterprise environment
Education and Experience :
5-8 years hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, emphasizing PaaS offerings
Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering or related technical field
Azure certifications preferred but not required
Demonstrated success in performance optimization of large-scale Azure environments
Strong background in troubleshooting complex cloud infrastructure issues
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, e.g., developers, network engineers, architects
Proven ability to read and implement complex architectural designs
Expert level experience with LDAP / Azure AD, DNS, SSO, MDM, SMTP, system performance-monitoring tools, virtualization, HTTP, interacting with REST APIs for application integration and automation.
Skills / Qualifications :
Deep expertise in Azure PaaS services with focus on Function Apps, Web Apps, API Management, Front Door, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB
Expert-level experience with Azure monitoring tools, particularly Application Insights and Azure Monitor for metrics, logs, and performance analysis
Strong experience optimizing Azure SQL performance, including query optimization and resource utilization patterns
Experience implementing comprehensive monitoring profiles across Azure PaaS services
Hands-on experience with ARM / Bicep for infrastructure deployment and automation
Proficiency with Azure DevOps for deployment workflows and automation
Expert understanding of platform capabilities including container services, middleware, messaging, and routing components
High level understanding of microservice design and implementation
