Qualifications:
- Experience is preferred but will train the right personality
- Knowledge of all major vision insurance plans
- Good working relationship with optical labs
- Strong optical sales background
- Strong computer skills and typing is a must
- Familiar with optical equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Reliable, dependable and punctual
- Outgoing and friendly
- Flexible, willing to jump in when/where needed
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to change

Responsibilities:
Optician’s are responsible for all aspects of the patient optical experience. The Optician is accountable for delivering first class service to all patients and visitors, selling and recommending quality products and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting patients with selection, fitting, adjustments and repairing eyewear
- Entering orders to be processed
- Verifying and billing insurance
- Entering payments into optical system
- Frame board management and cleaning
- Calling patients for pick-ups and follow up calls
- Troubleshooting equipment, spectacles and lenses
- Problem-solving patient concerns
- Lab, cutting and edging lenses
- Maintaining an organized optical area
- Maintain inventory while keeping back stock to a minimum
- Other responsibilities assigned by the Practice Manager
