Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Design / select raw materials
• Design the holding fixtures to achieve final product requirements.
• Select, position, and secure tool in toolholder (chuck, collet, or tool post).
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, depth and angle of cut and coolant flow. Enter command to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance dimensions. Adjust machine controls or control media as required.
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
• Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems.
• Develop the tooling list, tool life, fixture hardware list, and necessary documents for production.
• Train and transfer knowledge of the job to the machining team.
• Develop Inspection Plan with Quality team.
• Develop Work Instruction with Engineering team.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s Degree

·        Minimum 3 years of CNC Machining Experience

·        Experience with Mazak a plus
