Facility Maintenance Technician (F/T)

Primary Duties: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment. Their duties include general landscaping, fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, and identifying, planning, and scheduling major repairs and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• General upkeep and minor repairs
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair broken assets.
• Keep hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean.
• Performs general machine maintenance, including oil changes.
• Paints and stains indoors and outdoors as necessary.
• Maintains building systems and keeps the facility in good working order.
• Maintain accurate records of performed maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety precautions and adhere to the set schedule.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, lawnmowers, and small hand tools.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
