Optim Health System is seeking a Front Desk Representative WITH TRAVEL for our Vidalia, GA location. Travel to other locations is required.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Receives patients prior to appointments with providers, verifies completion of patient’s paperwork, and follows up with patient after the patient has seen the physician.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to Office Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment with occasional evening hours.

Check-In Duties:
1. Greeting patients
2. Review all patient paperwork
3. Insurance cards copied
4. Charts prepared correctly and put into bins for Medical Assistants
5. Collecting co-pays
6. Processing payments via credit card machine when necessary
7. Accepting X-rays and medical records for prospective new patients
8. Making appointments when necessary
9. Entering insurance and demographics when necessary
10. Managing referrals and scheduling
11. Schedule management
12. Phones
13. Prepares for clinic through the use of pre-visit planning
14. Has an understanding if MIPS quality measures
15. Complete the physician calendar each month
16. Balancing cash drawer
17. Making the deposit and sending in the copy of daily work to the manager
18. Will travel to two outlying locations each week to assist in front desk duties for provider
19. Will assist Medical Assistants with various clinical duties.
20. Miscellaneous other duties as necessary
21. Maintains strictest confidentiality
