Optim Medical Center Tattnall is seeking a full time Rehabilitation Aide for the Reidsville, GA location.
General Summary: A nonexempt position responsible for department compliance and infection control tasks. Additionally, the Rehab Aide will assist in customer service as it pertains to escorting patients to and from treatment and appropriate set up of treatment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Assists the clinician in set up of patient treatment and check out. Completes supply inventory and ordering. Assists clinician with treatment as it pertains to safety.
Compliance: Confirms mandated paperwork is signed and tracked. Assists in scanning and labeling paperwork as needed. Assists management with compliance tasks such as, but not limited to, expiration date checks, SDS updates, and certification workbook updates. Assists with student and volunteer paperwork and orientation
Infection Control: Performs equipment safety checks, modality temperature checks and modality cleaning. Cleans and prepares patient treatment areas including handling soiled linen and biohazard material.
Miscellaneous: Assists with department activities and projects as needed.
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: None needed on the job training provided
Other Requirements: Current CPR certificate.
Equipment Operated: May assist clinician with a variety of devices during exercise and treatment including wheelchairs, canes, reachers, and dressing/eating aids.
Work Environment: Combination of exam, treatment, and exercise rooms. Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and other conditions related to clinic setting.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Extensive physical demands including walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping. Occasional heavy lifting when transporting/transferring patient. May lift/carry up to 100 pounds of equipment. Some stress from dealing with anxious patients.
