Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee student accounts, including tuition and fee collection, billing, and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Work closely with the admissions and financial aid offices to coordinate student tuition and scholarship disbursements.
- Handle delinquent accounts and collaborate with collection agencies when necessary.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost analysis for the institution.
- Provide financial counseling to students and families regarding payment options and plans.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Supervise and lead a team of finance or administrative staff where applicable.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve financial systems and automation processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in financial management, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and faculty.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial matters discreetly.
- Experience in accounts receivable, collections, and financial aid processing is a plus.
