Workday HR Consultant
Our clienty is seeking a highly skilled Workday HR Specialist (SME) to support and optimize the client's Workday Human Resources module. This role requires extensive experience in Workday HR functionalities, including configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will work closely with HR, IT, and other key stakeholders to enhance system capabilities and streamline HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the configuration, implementation, and optimization of Workday HR modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Absence, and Talent Management.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday HR, providing guidance and recommendations on best practices and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to gather business requirements and translate them into Workday configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related issues, ensuring smooth functionality and user experience.
- Develop and execute test plans for system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support end-users and HR staff.
- Work with third-party vendors and Workday support to resolve system issues and implement updates.
- Analyze and recommend process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of Workday HR experience, including system implementation and configuration.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Talent Management modules.
- Experience with Workday security, business process configurations, and reporting tools (Workday Studio, Report Writer, Calculated Fields, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Workday certification is a plus.
- Experience working in higher education is preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
Fully remote position with occasional on-site visits if required.
