Asset Management Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Asset Management Analyst to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our property portfolio. As an Asset Management Analyst at Optima, you will be a criticalmember of the Asset Management and Development teams. You will be responsible not only for analyzing asset performance but also for participating in budget preparation, metrics, and projections in this fast-growing real estate development market.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to asset management functions, including budget and financial reviews, capital expenditure management, lease sensitivity analysis, and capital events
• Evaluate and underwrite potential real estate developments
• Assist with managing the due diligence process, including the review and analysis of leases, property operating performance, legal documentation and other investment-related information
• Perform complex financial analyses, including the development of cash flow projections, operating proformas, and valuation models utilizing Excel
• Assist with the preparation of investment summaries and memoranda to be presented to the firm’s Principals and equity partners
• Gather and evaluate economic and market data
• Interface with equity partners, lenders, and local brokerage contacts
• Participate in property tours and conduct property and site analyses
• Update and maintain asset management reporting, the development pipeline, and relevant market data.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Undergraduate degree in real estate, finance, economics or a related field with a strong record of academic achievement
• Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and priorities within agreed-upon deadlines
• Ability to produce high-quality deliverables in an accurate and timely manner
• Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling is required
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to succeed are essential
• Ability to work autonomously while having the capacity to excel within a group dynamic
• Strong written and oral communication, graphical presentation, and interpersonal skills
