Our client is a leading Building Materials manufacturer and a proud American company, they are looking to hire a Supply Chain Program Manager to join their Procurement / Sourcing team in the Los Angeles area (Vernon).

DESCRIPTION

The Supply Chain Program Manager position is a leadership role with broad responsibilities across Company’s Supply Chain, overseeing multiple projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The position involves planning and executing complex programs / projects, adhering to strict deadlines and budgets, and driving accountability throughout the Company. Responsibilities include defining and overseeing project scope, budget, timeline, and other relevant KPIs.

Crucial to the role is leading cross-functional communication at all organizational levels, including senior management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary leadership, a positive attitude, strong organizational and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. They should also possess proven self-directed project management skills and experience with project / product lifecycle activities.

In addition to overseeing program success, the Supply Chain Program Manager serves as a catalyst for change, coordinating activities according to processes, identifying optimization opportunities, implementing best practices, and enhancing program management capabilities. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, navigating evolving priorities with a balanced approach to structured project management and adaptability.

Overall, the Supply Chain Program Manager plays a key role in driving efficiency and achieving strategic objectives within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement comprehensive yet practical project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines, mostly within the framework of the Program Development Process (PDP).
  • Structure and organize project / program core team meeting schedules, distribution of agendas and follow-up action items.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, support, and motivation to ensure project success.
  • Optimize project resource utilization and efficiency.
  • Assess risks and develop countermeasures to achieve positive project outcomes.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify and quantify deviations, and communicate across the organization.
  • Formalize approval for project phases by ensuring exit gate deliverables comply with agreed exit criteria, completion level, and organizational procedures.
  • Coordinate interaction and documentation processes between departments, customers, and organizational leaders to effectively manage multiple high-impact, high-visibility, and strategic cross-functional projects in parallel.
  • Set and continuously manage project expectations, priorities, and urgency with team members and other stakeholders.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business, engineering or other related field, Master’s degree or PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program / project management, ideally within Supply Chain, Distribution or Manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering timely impactful program / projects results.
  • Strong organizational acumen and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
  • A strong bias towards hands-on involvement and leadership by example. Proactive and result oriented.
  • Team building and collaboration.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI).
