Optimae LifeServices, in Cedar Rapids, is looking for part-time (with opportunity of full-time) Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff for day time hours (8am-4pm).
We value a work-life balance; each month Optimae collaborates with DSP's to create their monthly schedule. Staff are able to communicate scheduling needs and can identify days off (working every other weekend is required with the ability to identify which weekends each month works best for you).

Duties include:
- Utilize our customer's individualized service plans to teach daily living skills.
- Support our customers in their living, social and learning environments.
- Support our customers to achieve the personal goals of their choice.
- Assist customers with managing and following through with appointments.
- Complete individual service documentation following Optimae's policy and procedure.
- Participate in team meetings, training and personalized monthly coaching.
- Follow a customer specific behavioral plan.
- Communicate with team members
.We are looking for self-directed individuals with characteristics of compassion, respect, and problem solving skills. Flexible scheduling and no experience necessary, we will train.
Qualifications :
- Be at least 18 years of age .
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed driver with a dependable vehicle and automobile insurance.
- Background check required which includes Child and Dependent Adult Abuse and Driving record checked.
