Optimae LifeServices in the Dubuque area is looking for full-time and part-time Direct Support Professional Staff to work in our Day Habilitation program 2-3 days a week and 1:1. This position does not require weekends and includes only daytime hours. The ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated to work alongside people with disabilities.

Duties:
- Engage with multiple customers in a group setting while enjoying community activities, crafts, playing games and fun.
- Utilize our customer’s individualized service plans to teach daily living skills.
- Support our customers to achieve the personal goals of their choice.
- Assist customers with managing and following through with appointments.
- Complete individual service documentation following Optimae’s policy and procedure.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings and personalized monthly coaching.
- Communicate with team members.
We are looking for self-directed individuals with characteristics of compassion, respect, and problem solving skills. Flexible scheduling and no experience necessary, we will train.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Licensed driver with a dependable vehicle and automobile insurance
- Background check required which includes Child and Dependent Adult Abuse and driving record check
