Optimae LifeServices in Marshalltown is seeking full-time Residential Site Team Leads! Team Leads and their Direct Support Staff provide individualized support working hand in hand with the customers to empower them to utilize choices, create successful and valued roles within their community, and pursuit chosen milestones! Team Leads would be responsible for oversight of day to day functioning of the home and mental and physical wellbeing of the individuals who reside in the home (4-5 customers per home). During the course of a shift a Team Lead can expect to participate in the following activities: * * Supporting development of Direct Support Professionals through leadership
- Role modeling
- Side by side training and coaching.
- Checking documentation and obtaining corrections when needed.
- Managing the site schedule, and working with team of staff to fill shifts as needed.
- Scheduling and facilitating regular team meetings.
- Maintaining communication with customer support team, including natural supports, guardians, case management, healthcare providers, etc.
- Maintaining regular site presence, and working scheduled shifts throughout the week providing support to customers in a direct support capacity 80% of the work week.
- Participating in an On Call rotation, which could include filling shifts as needed.
- Advocating for customers.
Required Experience and/or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed driver with a dependable vehicle with current registration and current automobile insurance. This is a requirement for the duration of employment.
- Background check required which includes Child and Dependent Adult Abuse and driving record check.
